It's been so hard to get inspired lately.
I look at a blank sheet of paper, and nothing comes to mind.
I open a fresh Word document, and all I see is the cursor blinking.
Even writing this entry proves great difficulty.
My mind that once overflowed with ideas is now as dry as an empty well (as evidence by the cliched simile).
I don't even have the energy to browse galleries anymore, and when I do, it's lifeless.
Nothing stands out.

I wouldn't call this an art block.
I'd feel irritation for wanting to pull forward in a project but ending up with zero results if it was.
And as of right now, I hold no designs in mind to execute.

No, I think this is more of a product of pondering where I want to go as an artist.
I'm not trying to sound humble when I say I'm unsatisfied with my art.
I browse through my own gallery and cringe.
In between the distorted images, I see only sloppy lines, muddled coloring, and inattentive details.
All this produced by unrestrained obsession feigned as motivated passion.
And obsession has been the driving force behind my so called creativity.

I understand that people and artists reach some sort of inquiring for their skills and reason to produce whatever undertaking dwells in their mind.
For now I hope to find a spark once more and return to my beloved canvases and documents to cultivate something worthwhile, something to satisfy me.

#deviantartistquestionnaire

How long have you been on DeviantArt?

7 long and proud years.
I first come across deviantART whenever I tried to Google fan art or screen caps of my favorite animes.
Because I didn't know what this website was, I initially rejected it; I stayed away from this place because I failed to understand that it was a community for art and how it all operated.
Years later in 2007, I decided to sign up simply since some friends of mine already had accounts.

What does your username mean?
It's an infusion between a homage and being named after a song.
The original song is King of Lullaby by Eiffel 65.
During a time when I was thinking of a unique username, I dropped that title "king".
Considering that I enjoy just about anything humorous, and I did describe myself as something playful, I opted for another position in the royal court: A jester.
Hence, Jester of Lullaby.

Describe yourself in three words.
Impulsive, Playful, Paranoid

Are you left or right handed?
I'm nearly ambidextrous.
While I trained my left hand, the only things I'm incapable with it are drawing and writing.

What was your first deviation?
An idea for an original story that I shall complete...someday.
Good People by JesterOfLullaby

Looking at it now, I recall how anxious I was to submit something to an art community when I first opened the account.
I was frustrated with my dad's scanner because it wasn't working.
I'm debating if I should do that Draw This Again meme.

What is your favourite type of art to create?
Fan art.
While I also submit my own original ideas, I enjoy creating and submitting fan art because it shows my love for an original idea like a movie or a cartoon that many fans like myself follow.
Having a place like deviantART permits me to share my own thoughts and style to those who are also a fan of whatever I'm submitting.
All and all, submitting fan art makes other people happy in seeing what they love, and that makes me happy.

If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Anything dealing with my hands, like crotchet.
I would love to make my friends and my family stuff like hats or scarves with cool designs.
Unfortunately, I'm terrible at working with any medium as simple as playdough.

What was your first favourite?
I can't recall because I started folders for certain categories while simultaneously collecting in my featured favorites.
Whatever it was, I'm positive I would still care for it now like I did then.
My taste rarely changes.

What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
A blend between fan art, original art, and photography.

Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Not to sound rude, but I don't have a favorite.
I just enjoy logging on and seeing if anyone I'm watching has submitted anything.
It's so much fun seeing someone creating artwork that we both enjoy.

If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
I'm fine with not meeting anyone in person; it goes alongside my paranoia.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Whenever I see someone's gallery or favorites, it inspires me to create.

What are your preferred tools to create art?
Traditional tools: Mechanical pencils, paper, sharpies, colored pencils, and markers

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Anywhere I can listen to music and get into my own, little world.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Hmm, I'm afraid I don't have an exact favorite memory.
Not to sound sappy, but I enjoy logging in every chance I get to see what's new, if anyone has looked at my gallery, or browse around the community to come across captivating artworks.
It's just so much fun being here, and I hope to stay a member for a long time.
I just really love art.

Backup your computer and its files!
Anything important like what you have written in Microsoft Word--resumes, school work, fan fics--, you should find time to save all your work on either an external hard drive or a cloud.
Even if you arm your computer with great anti-virus protection, other threats may happen.
Heaven forbid your laptop gets broken or stolen.
Again
You can always look it up the process or ask someone for help.

I've always told myself to backup my files in case something happens to my beloved computer.
And now there has.
Something's up with my laptop's hardware, so it's completely kaput.
And I've procrastinated backing up my laptop myself.
While I do have my dad's and my sisters' permission to use their computers, and while I do appreciate the offer, it's not just the Internet access that I want.
Many of us have at least heard, 'a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction', right?
Well both males and females should have a laptop of their own!
Now I can't create fan art since I have no place to look up references, and I have no access to either fan fics or original stories.
And I was on such a roll working on both!

I'm actually going through the stages of grief, starting with Anger.
Right now I'm in between Bargaining and Depression; I'm prepared to settle for whatever laptop I can get my hands on, even something as dumb as a Core i3 processor and low memory.
I know I shouldn't.
I know that I'll regret such an impulse.
My dad and my sister are pushing me to get a 2-in-1.
But I don't care about touch screen; I'm browsing for something with a DVD+RW|CD+RW drive; I'm someone who still watches DVDs and burns CDs.
So while I'm comparing laptops, I won't be able to do much here on dA.
I'm hoping, though, that this entry will remind people to backup their computers before something terrible happens to it.

But don't worry about me; I'll be fine. *proceeds to foam at mouth*

Futurama:

2 min read
I finished up all 10 seasons of Futurama on May 4th, 2014.
Thank you, Netflix!
I did see the cartoon's premier date in 1999, so watching the first five seasons did bring back memories.
While I didn't catch most of the 80s references until now, the other jokes are hilarious, from slapstick, to scientific jokes, to one guy adjusting to a new life in the year 3000 and beyond.
The characters are quite memorable.
I caught a little more than half of the series while it ran on Fox and [adult swim], and I saw the first movie on Comedy Central.
(The first movie, Bender's Big Score, made wasting valuable time watching the original run worthwhile.)

My favorite episode is still in season 5, "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles"; I just think it's really funny to see everyone age backwards.
So while I do like all the characters, I'll give Philip J. Fry and Robot Devil an honorable mention.
I may be sad that this wonderful cartoon ended, but I believe it had a good run roughly between 1999-2013.
I would love to find and read the comic series!
And I do feel a bit like Zoidberg after he ate all those anchovies in "A Fishful of Dollars" for more episodes.

Zoidberg: (devours anchovy pizza) "I must have more!"
Fry: "There aren't anymore. And there never will be anymore."
Zoidberg: (menacing) "More. More! MORE!"

Well, Futurama, you had a great run!
Thanks for all that entertainment!
